Anyone else notice that if you use the braided metal cable to hang your helmet on the '07 while using your seat cowl, that you can still get the helmet off because the cowl doesn't have the two outer hooks like the seat does? Hmmm....

I'm getting my cowl tomorrow (dealer just called today that it, and the frame sliders had just arrived) but goood to know, thanks.

I'd rather take the helmet with me anyways.

 

Hmm... hadn't noticed that. I don't like the way the cable doesn't have enough rubber on it to keep all the metal off the paint, so I rarely use it. I mean, hooking the metal "loop" of your helmets chin straps into where the clasps of the "trunk" lock down seems to work fine. Then again, I never try it when I'm running with my seat cowl... only when I'm 2-up with my wife.
