Default Lowering 03 600rr?

Just looking for some input on lowering my bike. Really considering lowering my bike for my wife. She's 5'4"-5'3". I'm 6' She can touch thegroundwith her toes but not comfortably enough. Before you guys start bashing me; listen up... She's my SUGA MAMA. She's the main reason I've been able to get my bike in the first place, my RR has been my dream bike before I could spooge. She likes the bike too (gets her a little hot) so it still works to my benefit to lower it. I don't mind being a little cramped if that's what it takes.
Guess what i'm more specifically lookingfor is Dos and Don'ts. Good sites for parts and info. And should I tackle it my self? I do have access to a lot of tools and somewhat machanically inclined.

Besides if she likes it enough I might be able toupgrade a newer version.
(Bike that is)

Thanks

well if your going to keep the bike yourself, its going to mess you up. lowering the bike throws off hte suspension and ride... changes the way the bike rides all together. and the handling performance goes down.

but if it gets you a newer, sexyer, nice 07 or 08 then go for it! slap a pink sticker on your old bike and tell her theres no going back ahaha.

ps make her go halfsies

Ok here is what you go to google and type in CBR lowering link. pick one buy and then put it in just looking at the bike should tell you how to put it in. As for all the blah blah you are going to hear about you lose this you lose that................ It is most likely that you are not some kinda track rider so in sayin that yes it will change the way it rides a bit but I lowered mine and it has not lost a bit of performance just rides alittle different. So I am sure it will not make the bike unrideable for you.

Thanks for the info guys. Any idea how much I should lower the front. I know it should be done to try to keep the geometry the same.
