im trying to upgrade from my 99 600f4 here soon, is the 600rr a huge upgrade or should i get a 1krr, i like dragging and the occasional twisties , so do you think i should consider a 600, or jump up to the 1krr?

what's wrong with your f4? what it puts down 90, maybe a hundred hp? the RR puts down 105...

its got some rash, couple little problems, n i really want something i can customize a lil more and easier, not many parts are made for the f4 such as undertails, or undertail exhausts, but i like the new style and injection is nice too

well the F4i would have been the next logical step for you, however i believe Honda has fazed them out now.

the RR is really the next 600 you could buy and still be up-to-date.

it's the same bike with a bigger engine. you're on two wheels, one is no more fun than the other, IMO.

g'luck.

well personally i like (love) the 07 600.now im a big guy 6/2 225 but when i rode an 05 1k it just felt like is was a mammoth underneath me but im guessin thats because ive been riding my 600 for a while now. but riding the 600 in the twisties for me is just like riding a bicycle cause its so light.

The 1000 is great for pure power, but if you like the twisties, you will like the 600 better. A 1000 takes an experienced hand to keep that throttle from popping the front end up and getting on the power on the exit of a corner could bring it up at a very inconvenient time. The 1000 will feel bigger, heavier, and less agile than a 600. Plus, the 600 is a bit more forgiving if you make a mistake. The new 600's will do anything you want. Ride one. You'll see.

Definately go with the 600rr if you like the twisties. Like sixhundred said: Take a very experienced rider in keep the front end down on the liter bikes and keep the back tire from spinning out from under you in a turn when exiting (not forgiving). They are puure power. I've riden a 1k only around town for 20 miles or so but kept it on a pretty straight road, wasn't confident enough nor do I have the experience to take one into the twisties. On my 600rr I love the twisties and go around looking for them [sm=drooldude.gif](More Forgiving aswell ~ even with my mods). I also feel, if I had a 1k on the streets, that it would be a Huge waste. Nobody here can even ride a 600 to its full capability on the streets safely.
