looking at an '07. Need input
Browsing craigs list today I came across a wrecked 07 600rr for $3500. I sent the seller an email just now asking if everything on the bike was ok, just has cosmetic damage, so I'm still waiting to hear back from him on that. If the bike is straight, runs good, nothing bent, would the $3500 be a good price for the bike? Here's the description of the bike:
"i have a 07 cbr 3100 miles went down but just some scrapes have skins on needs headlight assembly can get, front rim, handle bars. Runs good starts right up..clean title...have pic let me know if you want it...later"
I'd love to put my 03 up for sale and pick up a newer bike, but I don't want to get one thats going to give me any problems.

if it needs a front rim and "handle bars" i would consider that more than cosmetic and indicate more than just it going down... maybe impact with a curb?
But at any rate i think its wayy more truoble than its worth just for a few years newer, unless your '03 is in sore shape as well

I traded my 03 in on an 07 this summer. The difference in feel is like night and day, i loved my 03 but when i got on the 07 oh boy.. it feels so light and nimble in comparison its incredible. But i think with that wrecked bike you'd be in for a headache depending on what it needs. I personally stay away from bikes that have been down, you never know exactly what happend to them. if you wanna make the jump from an 03 to an 07 you def wont regret it, but i'd wait for the right bike to come along..
