Default Looking at an 05...

I went to look at an 05 today with a co-worker. The owner has replaced the plastic so it looks good. The bike has around 19000km, has been down on both sides, leaky fork seals, needs grips, chain, sprockets and bar ends. He is asking $5900.
I advised my co-worker to walk away. What would you pay for an 05 in this condition?

Talk about overpriced. It would need to be really cheap if I were to ever buy a bike thats been down at least twice and has leaky fork seals (from wheelies maybe?) I'm not going to purchase someone elses problems.

I told my friend to walk away from it... and she did. The search continues.
