Bingo. State Farm is probably your best bet, especially because of your age. The nice thing is, I'm pretty sure their motorcycle rates are based on cc's, not the sportiness of the model itself.

This IS correct, they base theirrates on the CC's of the bike, NOT the classification of it (super sport)

RE: insurance rate for new RR?
I tried to get full coverage for a 1000RR that I "was" going to buy, and it was going to be $5k a year, ahhhhh! Im 21, and have a report filed against me for rearending a car on my bike (5mph or less, hit oil and slid up underneath them) and also an Impeading traffic citation (i wasn't even in a vehicle, just helping a lady back out into the street) and yes the impeading traffic showed up when the insurance company did a background check

RE: insurance rate for new RR?
insurance companys will suck every dollar they can out of you... EVERYTHING shows up on a background check. heres a little story, last year my hot water tank burst and semi-flooded one of the rooms in my basement. I called the insurance company to see what could be done, a guy came over and looked at the damage and basically said the cost of repair would be the same as the deductable (1000 bucks) so i didnt go ahead with the claim, in fact i even had to put it in writing that i wasnt going to claim the damage. Fast forward to when i got my motorcycle insurance through statefarm, i asked them about switching my house insurance over as well and they did a background check and said even though i didnt put a claim in with my old insurance company it still shows as a "black mark" and they couldnt insure me.. WTF!! i have to wait something like 2yrs before i can switch my house insurance over to them because i basically made a phone call to "enquire".... how gay is that...

The guys on here pay anywhere from about $200 to $2000 a year. If I can make a suggestion, go with Stare Farm, especially if you're older than 22, and almost definitely if you are over 26.
