Idle adjustment Cable problems-- Help --

I have a 04-cbr600rr and idle cable stopped turning and got stuk and fix on 2300 RPM and wouldn’t go back down-- I removed the air container and got to the throttle and undo and replaced the throttle cable--
But Now the Idle runs on 1100 RPM (which is kinda low) and idle cable turns but doesn’t lower or rises the RPM ---

I re-pint my bike and change bunch of **** on it and cant freaking wait to ride it and just cant do that without the perfect 1400 idle--

How would I adjust the idle and if the answer is the cable idle ---then why my brand new cable that I just installed doest lower and raises the rpm--
Did I install it wrong?????
I would really appreciate if you or anyone could help--

F4I Idle Adjustment- How to make it work

If you have tried to adjust your idle knob and nothing happens, no effect on the RPM then i think this is your solution to that problem.

This happened to my 01 f4i and i figured out why it does not work when i turned the idle adjustment knob.

1. The way the knob works is when you turn it (clock wise), it gets screwed in and it pushes to open a flap on the wax unit and raises the RPM.
2. If you turn it (counter clock) wise, it gets unscrewed and closes the flap on the wax unit which lowers the RPM.

3. Here is how to make the knob work. because you have turned the knob sooo far back, it came loose and no longer pushing the flap. It has no affect.
**Now turn the knob (clock wise) until you think it is very tight. At this point you may think it's as tight as you can go. Let me tell that you are not even close.
**The trick is at this point the idle screw is now just hitting against the flat, that's why it's getting very tight to turn the knob. NOW.. keep on turning the knob (clock wise) and soon you will see the RPM rise. THAT IS IT....!!!

I figured this out by taking off the complete air box and watch how the wax unit work and where the idle screw goes into. I watched as i turned the knob
until the RPM rise.

Hope this is helpful.
