i bought repsol synthetic oil today
when i owned my first motorcycle, they said synthetic would last me longer than mineral oil. also, the guy who sold it to me said i should've been using synthetic on the 600rr from the start. anywayz, how long will synthetic oil last me? the guy said 3000 miles, just wanted to make sure with the forum.
and how much oil do i use. i only had to use 1.5 quarts on my old one, and the guy said i should use 4 quarts on the cbr. does that sound right?

Synthetic oil is a better oil to use because it doesn't break down like conventional oil does. The oil is rated to last about 6000 miles but it is better to change it about every three or four thousand miles. There are also some synthetics out there that will last about 15000 miles. As far as how much oil to use I don't know. I just got my bike.
