how to remove tail section from 600rr
 
how the heck do i remove the tail section? sorry guys, i did do a search but came up negatory, and my bike did not come wit a manual

Look in the shop manual and you will see how to take off all of the fairing and then some.

i never tried yet though. the manual is kind of vague as to how to remove the seat. seems hard..is it THAT difficult to remove the rear plastic? any tips or tricks helpful. thankssss

its easier with 4 hands undo the bolts and just kinda pull back up and apart

it is a bit easier with two people, once you've removed the 4 mount screws just pull out up and back, i have also found that it helps tramendacely if you remove the two metal brackets that the front of the botom of the rear seat hook to. the left side one hooks to the seat lock cable (03-04 models) so make sure you hook that cable back to the bracket (push it in with a flat head) before you put the rear seat or solo cowling back on or you will not be able to get them back off with your key... trust me, happened to me...
