RE: how much to paint bike parts??
I am repainting my F2 right now and when its all said and done its going to be around 600 bucks. Now thats primer/sealer/basecoat/clearcoat and all the supplies I need. If you take it to a body shop to do just them 2 pieces then it cant be any more than 200 bucks. Your best bet is to either A: go to the bodyshop and get a quote, they will do one for free, or B: become a really really good friend with a body man.
Hope that helps!!!

200 is still too much they are trying to rape you at these body shops... I am got a quote for 50 each which is a 100 all together. O and the person who is painting it is my friend i go to school with him and he owns a body shop hahaha. But still 200 is way too much for small pieces and it depends on the color if its gloss black it should be no more than 100 maybe even cheaper to buy the paint cost way less he is charging alot of labor

RE: how much to paint bike parts??
I own 2 AB shops and first thing to know is labor rates can vary from one town to the next. In my town we get $75/hour, 30min south $65/hr, 1hr south $55/hr, 2 hrs south gets $45 hr. 1 hour north gets$85/hr. Most shops (myself too) charge at least .5 hrs just to match the color, some colors 1 hr. or 1 hour for "butt matches". Next, how much prep does it need, how big and deepare the scratches, any cracks? All things to consider before you even spray the parts. Some shops use cheap paint some use highend paints that they can warrenty for life. Some colors cost more than others. Most materal costs are based onpaint hours, ie1 hour spray is $33 materal. (mine is $36). Some parts don't need sealers or primers, as a rule of thumb, no filler no sealer. If all you are going to do is paint over another paint that has no flaws, simply scuffing the clear is the standard practice and primer and sealer are not neccesary. They are a must over bare metal, bare plastic, bondo or glaze.
Basically, what Johny pays in his city could be half of what you pay in yours. Don't getpeople opinions ondollars only, campare apples to apples, does that make sense?
When I get motorcycles in, I normally cut a good deal, but that is because I am a rider too. Most car shops are not interested in the smaller parts jobs, it really is not worth the time. I have had many people sent to me, because they heard from another shop that I will do it.
Hope this helps.
