now in the market for a bike again. i would like a 07 becuase i was told its lower and lighter but i will settal for a 05 or 06. 05 and 06 are same right?

what would i expect to pay for a 06? or a 05? or a 07

and would spending the extra money for a 05-06 model be worth it or should i just go with a 03?

 

yea 07 is the best. 05-06 is the same. but price breaks where im at barely breaks because the 6's go so fast compared to the k's. brand new 06 if you can find them around 7999. cheapest i seen and good luck waiting and trying to get a break on the 07 #1 600. if you cant get anything off go to honda motorcycle website and get $500 honda bucks.

05 hard to find new, def not an 03.

i say dont settle for a used when you want new. but thats just me. good luck

 

it does not have to be new. 8k for a 06 seams high. i have sean at like 6500 i am thinking this is a decent price to pay not sure though i willl keep looking for months

I went through this literally 3 months ago.I live in Canada so the retail price here is higher than your retail regardless of the value of the dollar, but when I was looking 2003-2004's used with approx 20k are selling for 8500-9300$, but a brand new 06 from the dealer was 2700$ off retail and selling at 9300$. Needless to say I'm sure I don't have to tell you what decision I made, the 06 is in my garage right now with 1100km on it.

I'm not sure how our market compares to yours, but I'm guessing the two should be at least equal if not more in your favor, with your extended riding season.

i have seen some 06 for like 6500. that seams like a decent price. alot are close to 8000. makes no sences to me when a 07 would be about that much and its a diffrent bike.

in my areas cycle trader there are like 3 03 and a 04 and they want in the 6000-7500 range. who is going to pay that for a bike thats almost 5 years old and 2 designs ago when for 2500 more you can get a new one. i dont get how some one can even ask for that.

i live in PA so the riding season is some what short so hopefuly i will have able to get a deal in december

theres an 07 600rr on craigslist here for 7600. i tried talking him down but he won't budge. has 1200+/- miles on it.

 

i love craigslist but you have to search city by city. i live in pittsburgh and i am willing to travel a good distance to get a good deal. like 250 miles at most but craigslist is just around pittsburgh. if you could search by radius it be great. there was a 07 on cycle trader for a day. 1000 miles only 7k. if i had the money at the time i would have bought it
