..."hey, you got a headlight out"
Im getting really sick of this. At least once a day I'll have somebody tell me I have a damn headlight out. Iv even had people yell it from the sidewalk as I drive by. It gets quite annoying.
I love everything about Honda CBR's....except this. Whats next? One mirror that actually acts as two? "hey man, you're missing a mirror!"

isnt the high beam slightly more intense even if it were pointed down more, making it appear uneven compared to the lowbeam? Iv stood in front to look, and it appears more intense.
I was under the impression some high beams arent actually more intense, they are just pointed differently.

You are correct, it's not more intense. If you look at the housing, the geometry causes the light to reflect and disperse at different angles, which makes the light seem more intense, but both low and high use the same lightbulb.
You can adjust the screw to make the high beam pretty close to even with the low beam. It definitely will help with visibility during evening rides.

I leave mine on High all the time too. I have found that most drivers don't even notice. And the bike looks better than with just one light going. Too bad they didn't design it to have both running for low beam and make the bulbs/wiring for High Beam just switch inside the bulb itself. I think the bike looks weird with just one running. And the reason people think you have a light out.

isnt there a possibility of getting pulled over with the bright on though? absurd as it sounds

I really need to get my endorsement...too much paranoia. Im a good rider but that dmv test course is the size of my living room. Its like making the incredible hulk do ballet.

Yes... failure to dim or something like that. Justify it though safety and it shouldn't be a problem. I don't know if anyone has been pulled over for it on bikes. I think cops, for the most part, understand the need for a high beam all the time. I wouldn't turn it off even if I got a ticket. It's just not safe to operate without it. That low beam is weak and could easily be mistaken for a street light or something else. You can't mistake the high beam... especially when it moves around as you change lane position.
