well women driver went through red light and destroyed my erion 929, sorry no pics to upset when i went and looked at bike, 4 days in hospital and cast on both hands so it hard to type, so im thingking about buying newer 600rr between03-07. they cost less than the 1000s so i can afford newer 600. which year do you guys like and why, what are difference in brakes, susp, and so on. thank you

 

I have an 03 and of coarse I would tell you thats the best but seriously between 03 and 06 there was little change but the 03 600rr was ahead of all the other sportbikes because of the slim and slinder body. The 05 and 06 only changed on the front forks that are inverted and the rear tail that has the key behind the front seat and some other differces on the nose, the engine is the same from 03 to 06. Having a 900rr the power difference is only noticable on the torque at low rpm that the 900 produces otherwise the 600 has alot of power it will surprise you. From what you had you will notice a big weight difference because my 900 weight was about 400lbs compared to 360. I would though recomend going to the newer models simply because of choices of aftermarket parts that you would have and I do love the 06 and 07 look. What ever choice you make you can't go wrong with a honda' they are reliable and are fun to drive and being a stunter they wheelie very easy. Johnnyh

 

thanks for your long write up,i recently rode my freinds 08 zx6 and could feel weight dif, but less torque, but thats ok because the 600s rev to 15k, but still want a cbr just thaught i would get some of your ideas thanks

 

07-10 was a big upgrade vs the 03-06. Its lighter, more powerful (especially in the midrange) comes with a stock steering damper and has a more relaxed riding position. In the end, both are fantastic. I'm pretty interested in seeing what comes out next year because Honda typically upgrades their models every 4 years, but it might be 5 due to the recession.

 

First off glad to hear your okay. I have an 09 and i know that they have a strict emmision regulation which drops about 7-10 horses compared to the 08s, but it can be fixed with an IRC-2. I think they run around 60 bucks. The 09s also have more fairing covering the engine and with the 09s you can also opt for ABS if you felt the need. Thats all i have.

 

Okay heres my opinion. The 929 is fast as fock! and it will destroy any 600cc bike in a straight line. Lets talk about curves, the 929 that you had weighs around 370 and that it pretty impressive for a liter bike. I am sure that the 600rr weights about the same and they are both honda, the only difference is that one has way more power but both are going to handle great in twisties. Personaly, I would get another 929 or a 03 954, they are real solid machines man. If you get a 600rr, you are definately going to be missing some power; however, they are both equivalent sweet machines

Im saying this because i have owned an F3 (First bike), 929, and then bought a 600rr and then back to 954!
