Default He offered me 4000 to take it!?

'05 Honda CBR600RR with YOSHIMURA EXAUST
So here's the deal, ive been looking into purchasing a bike for a while now over winter break. Saw this one on craiglist the other day. The man says its been down going about 10-15mph, that's why the plastics are new. If i go up there to check it out, what should i look for since its been down? Hope he lets me test drive it. I actually would love to bring a socket wrench to strip the side fairings off lol! but i think the seller would be pretty Pissed Off...

Don't bother...you know the deal...no joy ride unless money in hand...also..down at 10mph sound odd...an for you to make a trip not worth it...find something stock fairing and never down...don't rush

But this is only one person point of view...

Yeah i dont exactly understand how it went down at 10mph. I guess there could be many possible explinations? Maybe a new rider, dropped it trying to balance the thing, sand? idk, ill have to talk to him. Waiting to close up pictures.

It's the difference between down or never down...you just have to make the choice prior. But let me tell you that a bike that's never down, will definitely give you peace of mind....

sorry, had to intrude... Is this a common standard down there?
I wouldn`t dream of giving one cent to any seller before test driving the vehicle at hand, nor would anyone else round here. Personally that sounds really odd...

Yes, it's common....fact is many CL fraudulent posting as buyers and just takes off...Vs. Selling a car you can sit in the passenger side.... There were incident (posted on CBRF) that fraudulent buyer uses a $100 bill wrap over $75 single dollar bill, gave it to seller, thieves hop on and takes off with your bike...

I'll say, unless it's a referral from a friend, or someone you know...no joy ride for any unknown CL buyer...

People are different, so are cultures... I`ve never heard of a single incident like that happened here. I`m not saying it doesn`t happen, just never heard of one...

It used to be just a valid drivers license is enough....I'm not saying all sellers are like that...

Man, that really bites... We have a saying here that goes like "Round here *holes like that gets taken to the back of the sauna for a neckshot"...
