Default GpPro - where to mount on 09

I got the Motorsports Hero. It has couple different arms and flat and curved surface mount as well as suction cup mount.

According to GoPro, the surface has to be clear of wax, cleaner etc to put suction cup mount. I am leaning towards sticking the mount to the bike instead of using suction cup. I read somewhere that suction cup came off on some people.

So the question is, where should I stick the mount on 09? I was thinking about right below to the side of the mirror base

Any suggestion?

No suggestions but i'd be interested to see what you come up with.

I've been debating getting one of GoPros so I can show off my L337 Skillz

Be sure to tether it somehow. You can use fishing line, inner paracord strands, safety-wire etc.

I've found for the small plastic mounts, its best to use the flatest surface possible on the fairings. Clean, stick on the mount, allow to "dry" for several hours (as directions suggest) b/f use.

I also use one of the small curved mounts on the top of my helmet...aka teletubbies style. ;-) Gives a great front view over the windscreen.

my bike is a 04 i have mine mounted below the wind screne almost infront of the third eye. IOn your bike you have a induction there, but if I were you id mount it at the bottom of the wind screne. It gives a nice view and allows you to turn it on and off on the fly.

Unfortunately, on 09 600rr, there are not much space there and curved surface. I might do helmet for now. I was thinking about putting it right underneath the mirror mount, or side, but not sure how the video will look and ugly looking???

This is how mine is set up I just cleaned the area with break clean and stuck the 3m pad on and pressed firmly for a min or two. It is steady hear and you get a good feel for the angle the bike is on while recording. like I was saying if you stuck it on the windshield near the bottom it would be basicly the same as what I have.

My windscreen is more curved than the curved mount it came with.... I think I would have to do the side mount or by the mirror or I could put it on black area of upper fairing

I as thinking about getting Superbike raiser kit. https://www.motomummy.com/store/prod...d=17444&page=1

So if I do that, I think I can use one of the bar clamps they sell. Mounting on triple tree came to my mind, but I was waiting for myself to decide on raiser kit. (and still waiting) Any thought on that?

edit: I checked the triple tree now. The flat area on it is not big enough to accomodate the mounting bracket.

Yet, another edit: How about if I put the sticky mount inside top of the windscreen? It should hold right?

I decided to use the suction cup mount on my screen. I am not 100% confident that it will hold. so I tied it with what I had (in today's case, paw print red ribbon) to the both side mirror posts. I might look into UV protected black rubber string to do this in the future.
