Default is this a good or sketchy deal?

I'm looking for a cbr600rr and I need some advice. Last time I got one, I jumped the gun and ended up regretting it. Does this deal seem good or too good to be true?
http://ventura.craigslist.org/mcy/2706455423.html
I talked him down to 3850, btw.

There is a clean 04 gsxr600 with low miles for sale around the same price range...idk I have been thinking about it,but idk I haven't been on a Suzuki before.
Any advice/feedback will be appreciated
Thanks in advance!!

Unfortunately there is not enough info here to tell if it is a good deal or not. The pics don't give a a lot of detail on the bike. Has it been laid down? Are there any scratches or dents? What condition are the tires in? What condition are the brakes in? What condition are the chain and sprocket in? Is the title clean? If the bike and title are clean and everything is in good condition I would say that is a good deal.

+1 R Dub, if it looks/sounds good in person, pay the $80 or so and have the local shop
give it a mechnical inspection. You'll still be $100+ ahead of the original offer, and
you'll have piece of mind, that the bike doesn't have any major (read, "expensive fixes") flaws.

thanks for the pointers!!!! I went to check out the gsxr that I was talking about earlier today and it ran well and all, but it looked a lil rough :/
From the vid, i only noticed a lil ding on the rear and the guy told me he dropped it in his garage. That's the only time it has been dropped, according to him. Other than that it looks real good (in the vid, anyways). I'm going to check out the RR tomorrow and I'm going to keep all of the pointers in mind. yeah, I'm also going to have a shop look at it, i feel that it's worth the 80 bucks.. The last few bikes haven't been all that great. shopping for a bike has turned out to be a pain hehe
Thanks again!!!! =)

Just an update and another question.
They guy never got back to me today, so I didn't get to see it :/
I did come across this one here and it's in town (I won't have to travel for this one).
2006 Honda CBR600RR Black
It's at a steeper price, but it looks real clean. He said he is willing to do 4400. I'm going to check this one out tomorrow. Is the price reasonable?

The price doesn't seem to bad I don't think but then again it is all about what you are comfortable with spending. Go look at it and if the bike is as clean and well maintained as the owner says then I would say that is reasonable. I would ask why the shorter kickstand. The only reason why you would need that is if the bike has been lowered so ask him if that is the case. If it has been lowered maybe try to get him down to $4K or $4200 since you will have to raise it back up. Unless your really short lowered bikes are pointless, they handle worse than stock height.

Thanks, R Dub. I looked at the bike and it was super clean and well maintained. The chain and was in clean and lubbed as well, unlike most bikes, I have seen. The bike was lowered at one point, but it's now raised with a stock kickstand. I'm short (5 5), but I have never had a prob being on my toes. he also told me that the bikes suspension set up for him (180-190 lbs) and I'm about 160. Would it make a big difference in handling?? Ill see, if he is willing to do 4200, but he seems firm on 4400.

The bike sold before I could buy it :/ I'm looking at another one though. This one looks pretty clean in the pics, minor scratches. The this is it had 16400k. Is that considered high? He is willing to do $4150 and its an 06. Is that a fair deal?
