well, im sure there have been many posts like this before. i appologize for that. i just found the forums, and am loving them

but im on leave right now in the military, and am looking at picking up a new bike. after bargaining and going into different shops i have found a place that will give me a 2007 cbr600 rr for 9700 OTD including a HJC helemet of my choice, and a jacket of my choice that they carry at the honda store? any feed back is appreciated. thanks guys.

i have never personally ridden an 07 600rr but i have an 02 954rr and my buddy has an f4iand hondas are the best bikes around in my opinion. honda is definately the way to go. ive ridden an 07 gsxr600 and an 07 r6 andi thoughtthey were bothvery uncomfortable. im a big guy andthe gsxrwas just too small for me and i got cramped up and the r6 is a straight up track bike with a very bumpy ride. but if youre looking to get into the 600 class i would definately recommend honda from my experience with them. you can never go wrong with a honda.

 

to high if you ask me they already have 08's out .. that bike is already a year old .. i would say thats a good price for a brand new 08 , but 07 you should be able to get OTD at 8600 -9000 ...

 

I would try to get them down to $9000-9200 OTD WITH Helmet, Jacket and Gloves. I bought my 06 600RR in June of 2006 for 8400 OTD with frame sliders installed and a helmet.

 

97h, is a bit high. but if the demand in your area ia high then its hard to say because they are also throwing in 300-350 bucks of gear.
find out, how much can they discount if you dont wont the gear.

thanks for the feedback. i really appreciate it. i went shopping some more today at more dealers, and they look at me like im smoking dope when i bring up anything, really under 10g'z. in fact when i told one dealer today that they were way too high for charging me 10k for the bike OTD with NO HELMET OR ANYTHING!! then i told him my deal i was getting and he straight told me to go there, and buy from them. and also he thought they were blowing smoke up my pants and that ill never get it for that original 9700 that i had mentioned

 

back in 2004 i bought a brand new cbr 600rr for 9200 OTD... but that didn't come w/ anything extra, i had to pay for helmet, gloves, etc... personally i think i paid a little to much, but inmonterey, ca i think bike prices were just higher. bike shops were far and few between. i live in socal now, and i see a ton of bike shops. seems like you should be able to get a better deal, esp for a 2007 near the end of the year. i think 08's will prob be avail by no later than nov.

and helmets go as cheap as $60 don't they? and jackets can be pretty cheap too depending on quality...

 

i think im falling into a "im sick of dealing, and wanna get out riding" state of mind. i just wanna get the bike and be done with it
