Getting air on a 2007 RR
Well today i went out riding with my friend, he has a suzuki bandit and i was on the CBR. we pulled up fot a chat and he challenged me to go over a steep bridge with a bit of speed. So i set off down the road and he followed a little behind, after hitting the top of the hill at around 50mph i took off and got about 1ft maybe 1-1/2ft into the air and smoothly landed on the other side, there was a corner close on the other side so after slowing back down and going round a few country bends i kept looking in my mirror and i couldnt see him. I started to worry a little but then finally saw him coming round the bend. we pulled up and he said that he was following me and as soon as he saw me take off he burst out into laughter and almost crashed because he was laughing so hard. The bike seems fine and it handled it pretty well, i also took some pictures of it on the way home, i'll attatch them below.
Anyways i just thought i'd share my little story with you guys
hope everyone's getting ready for the riding season to start again!

I used the lowestISO (100) as it was really sunnyand the Aperturewas atabout 1/350 but then i add a little tint on a photo editing suite called microsoft digital image editor, it just gives it more of a contrast
thank's for the compliment also

I've seen pictures of some riders catching HUGE air in the Isle of ManTT. But yes it's a stunt better saved for the track or controlled competition.
Your friend's bandit looks pretty nice, does it come with those dual "bug eyed" headlamps stock?
nice clean naked sportbike "streetfighter" look.

Thats some pretty funny stuff. Did he set you up for that? If so that is both funny and messed up.
I have probably already said this, but I love that paint scheme on your bike. I am so jealous we don't have those colors here.

And 'WhiteDealershipRice' Those twin lamps on my friends Bandit come from www.streetfighterstore.com.uk and i think they deliver to the US. I bought them for him about a month ago, he has also raised the back and bought a belly pan for it but it isn't on there at the moment.

Good thing you had the steering damper...that's basically how I went down 6 months ago. I was coming over a steep hill going about 65-75 (way too fast because I like to learn the hard way) and caught a nasty tank slapper...didn't get air, but I can't help but think a damper would've helped. Glad to hear it was a fun experience for you. Either way, I'm sure you won't be trying that again.
Not to "scare" you or anything, but this is what could happen next time you get dared:

Oh, I love your bike by the way!!!

It did feel good and didnt phase me at all but i'm more worried about damaging my bike than myself [8D]I used to thrash my cbr600F that i had before the RR7 and i managed to run that into the ground but i'm really trying my best to look after and maintain this beauty.
I cant believe the state of that bike in the pics! glad you're ok though looks pretty smashed up [&:]thanks for the reply
