Gearing for better gas mileage?

is it possible to put different gears on the bike for long road trips that it would increase the mileage?

wow buddy were you born yesterday... haha JK you can do anything to this bikes but to answer your question.. yes

go down in the rear sprocket, how longa trip are you really planning on, because you will lose low end power so when you get to your destination you will have to swap out the rear sprocket again or leave it with a little less low end.. depending on how many teeth you go you will gain more MPG's but is it really worth it...

of course you CAN do it, but is it worth it? I guess if all you really do is ride highway, you could re-gear, get a few extra MPG's, but won't be very fun around town.

OR...

You could ride at around 65mph on the highway instead of 90mph and get bettwe fuel economy.

Keep the rpms below 5500 and keep your stock gearing. You can get low to mid thirties with that. You risk her being a complete dog at low RPMs if you change gearing. I don't think you really want that. You can try to find some gears if you like, but I don't know if anyone has done it.
