Fuel pump squealing
 

Hey guys, I recently got back from a 1500 mile trip on my 2003 CBR w/ 28K miles. Before leaving, my CBR's fuel pump made a pretty quiet whirring sound when priming (example: https://streamable.com/7kio7).


About half way through the trip, it developed a kind of screechy noise that is presented in the following video (https://streamable.com/mbkl9). The bike isn't throwing any codes, and still rides just fine. The noise is only present while priming. I already took the pump out and cleaned the screen at the bottom of it, it had caught a good bit of crud, but that didn't help with the newly developed screech. Am I facing potential failure here?
