Frame Slider Installation
 

Hello everyone, I bought a set of Black Shogun Cut Sliders for my 03 cbr 600rr, and I was wondering if any of you know how much and how long it takes to install these sliders. I thought it would be a simple 1 hour tops type a of job, but the places around me are charging $180 to install the sliders!

probably because they have to cut.. and they are charging you .. for that money you can buy the tools and do it yourself.. i installed the no cut shoguns.. and they took me 20 min.. if i had to cut i would imagind it would take me an hr or alittle over..

That's what it cost me. I decided I would rather pay them to do it and do it right, rather than having to buy the tools do it my self, have a chance of screwing it up and needing to buy new fairings.

180$!?!?!? I would tell them to take the sliders and shove it up their a$$

yea 180 not including the sliders. I paid $50 for my sliders, but I called another shop and they wanna charge me $180 too!

I did it myself. I trust myself much more then someone I dont know. Go out and buy yourself a 1 3/4 hole bit. (My vortex were that size yours might be different?). There are some great write ups on how to do this. I used the laser method and it worked perfectly.

just return them or sell them onlineand buy the nocut sliders!!!

for $180 I hooked my bike up!!

i have a friend who works at a motorcycle shop, i don't know if this is true or not and i don't know what's the correct explanation but he told me that "Cut Reqired" frame sliders work better compare to the Ones that you don't have to cut your fairings. He said because the ones required fairing to be cut are placed a little lower on the fairing; therefore, if the bike ever falls down, it will catch the Sliders first and will decrease the chance of your bike being scratch. Any comment on this?

+1 on do it your self. Dude seriously, go to your local hardware store, spend 6 bucks on the hole saw for your drill..you have a drill right? Go to a toy store, get some play-d'oh ( 99 cents last time I checked) and take your time. There's a write-up in here somewheres on how to do it. Takes you an hour..O and don't forget to use teflon tape or locktight on the bolts. Piece of cake! Get some buddies over, drink some beers and talk about boobies..
