Thumbs down flat spot at 5500rpm

I have a 2011 600rr about 4 month old
It came with a Acropovic slipon fitted by the dealer.
there were some issues with the bike vibrating from day one, I then had it go into limp mode on blink code 34, was informed that this was because when the exsaust was fitted something was fitted incorrectly.
When I got the bike back the vibration was gone there was no blink code but there was a huge flat spot from about 5500 revs to about 7000 revs.
I took the bike back and waited 2 weeks, when no-one called me I called them back and was informed that the owner had driven the bike home via the m25 a few times and that he could not find anything wrong.
I took it to another dealer who informed me that there was definately something wrong. That was about a week ago. They cannot figure out what is wrong yet so I have turned to the real experts and was hoping someone has had this experiance before.
The flat spot feels like an HT lead breaking down for one of the spark plugs, but I have been informed that if this is was the case it would happen all the time

I live in hope!!!!

Wow it came with a Akra from the dealer. That is awesome. You should trade with me. I got a OEM one you can have . I would have to ride your bike to see how it differs from mine but these bikes are very lackluster under 7K. The only thing I can think of is that the Akrapovic is leaning it out but I have not heard of just a pipe leaning it out that much where the motor just dies. You can get a power commander and hook that up to see if that fixes it.

I havent heard of this issue before but i would say the same thing Rdub mentioned. A PCV is a good fuel fix. Other than that i dont know what to say. I hope you get if fixed soon.

The answer so far from the dealer is to get a power commander. £280.00 after spending a fortune on buying the bike seems wrong to me.
Also the bike was working now it has the flat spot. But if this WILL solve my problem I would get one but when I spoke to the dealer they said they cannot guarantee this would solve my problem

Thanks for your support

Did you buy the bike brand new? And the dealer installed the Akrapovic exhaust right? It wasn't a previous owner or you. If this is the case I would be fighting really hard with that dealer telling them to fix this as it is not your fault. Tell them they have to buy the Power commander or put a OEM exhaust back on it to see if that fixes it. No since in you throwing money down the drain if it is not your fault. Good luck man!

Ya if the bike was brand new and the installed everything i would agree on fighting the dealership. If they havent fixed the issue i would be asking for a new bike. Try calling some big heads in the company to see if you cant get the store owner to get on his chit and get your bike fixed.

First answer I bought the bike new and the pipe was part of the deal Honda had going at the time.
Second Every time I phone honda they tell me its not thier problem and it must be sorted by a dealer.
I am still waiting to hear back from the Workshop manager since he took my bike for a spin on thursday afternoon then was going to ride a demo bike and see what the diference was between the 2 he said he would call me on Monday

do a dyno run with air fuel read out then you will know what is going on in that RPM range
