Engine Replacement

Has anyone fitted carbs to a fuel injection model
I have a cbr 600f xy year 2000
I want to replace the engine with one out of an injection model and would like to know if it will run with carbs fitted to it

I think fuel is fuel, as long as the mixture is right it should work. The challenging thing is making sure the carburetors sit in the correct position in order to keep the float bowls level. FI bikes don't care what angle the injector is sitting or the angle of the intake ports. But carburetors do. You could end up with float levels that are too low or too high.
