Default Do you have to run the bike first before the oil level will show?

Just changed my oil. Poured in about 3.2 quarts, and when i go to look at the oil level window I dont see a thing. My question is, do you have to run the bike first before it will show in the oil window?

no, you have to have the bike level, meaning not on the side stand.

nm i figured it out...i did have the bike level, it was on a rear stand. You have to run the bike or it will just show that it has no oil. I overfilled it a little now. Luckily i have a Pela oil extractor.
