Default Disk brake lock help

Hey, I'm looking to buy a simple disk brake lock for bike. Now I been looking online and what not & it's said to fit MOST if not all. My disk reads 3.5 MM, the ones being sold have different measurements (don't know if they fall within my readings) So can anyone help me out to which lock will sit flush on my bike.

Figure out the size of the vents that are drilled into your caliper. Buy the lock that correspondes with that size. If you buy a lock that has a pin that is too large to fit in your vents you can always attach it in the holes further toward the center of your caliper!

The center of your caliper, I'll take a look. Thanks

Wow, my mistake. Replace all my tying "caliper" with "disk." Shows what happens when you try to work and post at the same time! The vents should be on the disk, with the bigger holes more towards the center of the disk (right before the shiny part that the pad runs on starts"

I thought iit sounded funny lol. But I know where the holes are but arena the locks suppose to fit reguardless.. I did some more searching & they all look the same to me, maybe i mis-led the guy when I asked him about the fitting ?

Some are different sizes. The pin that slips through the vent in the disk will be either 5, 8 or 10mm, or a similar size. You might try going to a CycleGear or whatever motorcycle stores you have in your area, most of the guys there are pretty nice and I'm sure they would let you take it out to your bike to be sure it fits. If you figure that out, you will be able to buy the right size with confidence online!

Get a "stapler" type disc lock, with a 5mm pin. Xena makes several models with and without an audible alarm. The only problem with an alarmed lock is false alarms, and setting it off when you're trying to put it on/take it off. Mine is made by Kryptonite, and is bright yellow so it can be seen. I also put a hi-vis orange stretch-coil lanyard on it so I don't try to ride off with the lock on the disc!
