Clicking noise in my rear suspension

The rear suspension is making a "click" noise everytime i sit on the Bike or i hit a small bump on the road. The bike had been dropped about 3 inches from the guy i bought it from and i would like to raise it back up to manufacturer's set up.
But im more concerned about the "click click" noise everytime i sit and get off the bike. any ideas what needs to be done?

You should have someone sit on the bike and "jump" up and down on it to see if you can see if anything rubbing or making contact that would cause the clicking sound and then see if raising it back up will fix it.

Might be the ring on the preload moving around. Which it shouldn't be, but considering the guy lowered it he might have damaged it. Put the pegs on jackstands and take out the rear shock and inspect.

I had "tapping" noise coming somewhere close to tire hugger. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. And when I had my bike at the shop, they told me a "bolt" was lose. I should have asked which bolt, but I didn't. And ever since then, it doesn't make any noise. (I have lowered bike too)
