Cleaning the bike...what to use?

So what do you use to clean the fairings and what not??? I'm not talking about the chain, thats a whole different story. I was thinking Pledge (household polish) as a shiner upper after its been wiped clean  ??? Helps the shine and makes it easier to remove bugs and road grime later. In aviationsome pilots put pledge on the windshield for the reason stated above, just carrying it over. But, a part of my brain is saying WTF...Pledge??? I know, sounds dumb...

i use something that people refer to as Honda polish, but on the spray can it's actually called Original Spray Cleaner and Polish. it comes in a spray can that is primarily black and the "Spray Cleaner and Polish" is written in a pinkish red. it seems to work pretty well, imo.

i use the 'honda polish' too, but as mentioned above it doesnt say that... i think it used to. the dealer should know what you want if you say that and its got the pink writing can.

Honda Polish all the way....

When my wheels/fairings get grimey w/road grease, I'll hose it down and spray some Simple Green all over the nasty spots. Let it sit for a minute or two, rinse it off and finalize it with Honda Polish.

I'll say this as I only know how.............

HONDA POLISH ROCKS

Seriously, it's amazing. If you are going to wash it, I use dish-soap in a bucket to wash all the grime and whatnot off (like I ever let it get dirty:D), then I spray a thin film of Honda Polish over the entire bike, rub it in quickly with one microfiber cloth, then take another microfiber cloth and buff it to it's glorious Foxy shine.

But that's just my two cents (only worth a measly $54,360 due to recent economic situations [:@])

I use windex a lot, it seems to do a good job at getting bugs and whatnot off. For the rims when they get grime I just get some wheel cleaner from Wal-Mart and never use a hose to spray it off or else it'll get water places you don't want.

You can always do the hose/ car soap/bike soap / water if you have time
if you u just want a quick shine, I used to Love the Honda spray cleaner Polish (if you can find it)
but Plexxus works very well,

Don't use regular dish soap, it'll eventually eat away your clearcoat/shine from your paint/fairings, make sure it's an actual car or motorcycle wash.

Good luck and GO HONDA!
