cbr air filter

just got my new bike and try to get fimiliar with all the filter so i could do it my self. i aw wondering if my cbr has an air filter, since
i cant find it in my bike. if it has, could u guys point it , wherei could find it?

I`m presumin you have a 600RR cos you`ve posted in here, you lift off your tank which is only a cover and underneath you will find an airbox, the lid is held on with a few screws once removed you`ll be able to see the air filters.
When you look at the fuel tank, you're actually looking at a lot more. The cover hides the fuel cell, which is from the fuel lid back and your air box, the front half. You have to remove the seat, both inner covers (plastic that covers the top of the air ducts) and a couple bolts from the side fairing. All of this is just to see the air box. You then have to un-mount your ECU, then all of the bolts to the air box cover. And then the filter is bolted in with 3 screws. Here's a pic to help out a little.

it depends on your climate and conditions. I switched out to a K&N at 3000 miles and mine old filter looked new. I ride in all weather, but we have very little dust around here. Pollen out the ..., but no dirt. Very few rural areas.
