NOOOO!!!!!!]
This is just my 2 cents, but you will not be happy with that bike. My first two hondas were both '84 V65 Sabre 1100cc v-twins, which if anyone knows anything about older bikes---were the ****! lol Honda's first 10-second bike. Didn't handle real well, had a tendency to fall into corners. My next bike was the 600RR i've got now. My next door neighbor (best friend) has an RC51, and i'm being completely honest when i say that my RR will smoke it. The 51 feels great in the corners (and it should, that's what it's made for) but after riding a big v-twin for so many years and then goin to the RR, it's just a totally different feeling. I miss my old bike and yes the extra torque that a big v-twin has is nice, but because it is a v-twin you've got to remember that it doesn't have the same power output as other 1000's such at the 1000RR or R1. My other military boys that ride with us call my buddies RC51 "The Pig".....if any of you know anything about vietnam era weapons, "The Pig" was a machine gun. Powerful, fat, heavy, and akward to carry. Lol
Again, just my 2 cents though. Some might say i'm partial to my 600RR. :-)

RE: CBR 600RR v/s RC51
I think you have to try to get someone to let you ride one and make your own decision. I was dead set on getting an RC51, but at the last minute i chose a new R1. The twins are just different. You wont stand the chance of it being lost in the crowd like all the inline 4s and thats why most people like it. As far as a 600RR "smoking" an RC51? I dont buy that. Look at the July 2005 issue of sport rider. They have the RC 51 compared to a ducati 999 and an aprilla rsv mille R. The RC has a posted 1/4 mile time of 10.44 @ 133.5mph. Last i saw of any 600s was somewhere around a 10.60. Basically they run neck and neck. Another issue of sportrider compared a lot of bikes from 600s up to 1000s and v-twins. All, i repeat ALL of the bikes ran within 4 seconds of each other on a 2.94 mile track. The 600RR and the ducati 999 ran within 0.4 sec of each other. You could count on about the same time with the RC. There's a lot more to a bike than just raw power. According to that particular issue of sportrider, the ZX-636 ran the track with a best time that was 1.3 seconds faster than the 1000RR. Imagine that.. So really, all of the bikes are great in todays time. Get on them, ride them, see what you think. And most importantly, get what YOU like better and forget about all the numbers you see published or what bike people seem to think will "smoke" another one.

I personally like the feel of the inline 4's over twins. I've never had the pleasure of riding the RC51... but I'll assume it the same as a buel blast. That beast had plenty of power... but sucked to ride.

But back to the topic: I like the smooth power delivery of the 4s. Twins are great (in more ways than one) but that "lope" kinda gets on my nerves after a while. In the end though, you gotta ride it not us so take your time and see if you can score a test ride.

Blast is a single cylinder bike -- for the $$ it's a great bike and fun to ride. I've read that there were lots of bugs in the beginning though.
