CBR 600 RR '03 engine shutting off

Hi,

My CBR 600 RR 2003 is just about 16,000KMS. Problem is after running your bike through a little traffic. When engine heats up a bit ( but not overheating), it turns off by itself. Temperature is just around 100-110 C. When this starts to happen, you will need to let the engine cool off for a few minutes/hours or so.

Water reservoir is at upper level. Charging is excellent - rectifier, stator, battery has no problem.. Cooling Fan starts to operate around 100 degrees

My mechanic is suggesting to flush-off the coolant from the reservoir and radiator and replace with a new one.. then see if it improves.

I'm not sure if this will work but if you have any ideas, it will be great!

Thanks.

Sounds like that could be it, the coolant losing its ability to do its job. I have an 03 and noticed its a bit hotter, think I'm gonna do the same. Can you convert it to F, I'll try to remember tomarrow what mine is in degrees F at that Celcius
