Default Buying a new, zero miles 2008 - trouble?

There are several on Cycle Trader. Does anyone see a problem buying a bike this old, with zero miles? I assume the dealership would start the bike up, and that would keep it from rotting on the lot, but it concerns me. Any input is appreciated.

Its bran new. If there is the off chance that somthing was wrong the dealer would be responsible. Id go for it if its a good deal.

The only thing I'm worried about is that the original fluids probably haven't been replaced for years.

If the bike is truly new, then it should have the factory warrenty that comes with the bike. Also, it would be a good idea for any new bike to change the oil after break in. So this only leaves the brake fluid and coolant. Of the two, I would only be concerned with the coolant as the anti-corrosion additives have a specific shelf life.

Worthwhile checking on when the bike was assembled as it may have been in the crate for a few of the years as I expect that they ship dry and have all fluids added by the dealer as part of the prep process.

i bought my 08 cbr this spring brand new with zero miles. i asked about coolant and brake fluid the dealer said dont worry about it. i ran it this summer without changing either and plan to change the coolant this winter. i've had no problems. it's still a brand new bike.

Most brand new bikes that aren't floor models won't have any fluids. It'll have to be assembled as its still in a crate

Most floor models don't have fluids until they are sold, same for batterys. The biggest problem with buying an 08 is all the 09+owners will hate you for also being brand new but faster then them
