Default Buying a 2011 600rr

Hey, so after a few years without a bike. I am about to buy myself a new bike.
It's a used 2011 600rr. Red, with about 16k miles on it. Already got frame sliders, two bros exhaust, shorty levers, flush mounts, and a couple other mods.

I'm just wondering if there's anything I should keep an eye out for? Or any advice for someone going from an f4i a few years ago.

I'll post up pics when I can

People like to talk about bike specific problems, but in all reality, all that matters is overall maintenance and taking care of the machine itself. It doesn't take much to hurt these things. But, if you take care of them, they're quite dependable.

Just look for (and listen for) the obvious. If the radiator is twisted or dented, if there's oil leaking, if you hear a really loud metallic tick, etc, walk away. Put your weight over the front of the bike and see if you notice the forks leaking. Look for scratches on things that aren't easily replaced like the engine case, frame, swing arm, etc.

Good luck with your purchase.

Cool, thanks!

A few of those I knew to look for, but there's a couple there I didn't think of.

The dealer is replacing the tires and fork seals(as they said they replace anything that is under 60%), as well as the usual fluids change.

It's got a tiny scratch on the frame slider and corner of the fairing on one side. But they aren't horizontal, and nothing else is damaged, so it looks like maybe someone just let it slip while standing still.

Oh, yeah, dealers are pretty good about selling safe bikes. There's a lot of liability with them. But its always good to check stuff out yourself. New tires is a huge plus too.

Post some pics when you get 'er!
