I just installed a new set of Vortex Shorty levers (clutch & brake). The clutch side appears to be working fine, but something is messed up with the brake lever. When I went to test to see if the brake was working, the brake light was constantly on -if the lever was being pulled or not the light stayed on. All the screws and wires are mounted in the appropriate places.

I took the brake lever off and remounted it with no solution. The light doesn't turn off. Anybody have an idea why it's staying lit?
