Default Bought a "new" 03 cbr 600rr...

Just wondering what you guys think. I just bought an 03 CBR 600RR with 1800 mi. for $5,700 in show room condition and bone stock. Good deal or not? It is my first actual road bike, but have been riding bikes and quads since I was 4 and am now 22. I think my first investment is going to be the steering stabilizer as recommended by quite a few friends. Which is the best bang for the buck? Most guys around here have either the GPR and Scott's.

not a bad price imo with such low miles.

Low miles and stock. Bone stock bikes are hard to find, and for the price, that seems pretty decent. Does it need any immediate work done? (i.e. tires, chain, etc. etc.?) If it still has stock tires, I would replace those ASAP. Old tires aren't fun (especially 5 year old tires) I would also change the oil and oil filter and make sure all the fluids are checked and/or changed. It may only have less than two thousand miles, but it's still 5 years old......so just check everything over.

As for the steering stabilizer, it's not really a "must". I took my previous 06 600RR to the track a couple of times and really didn't encounter head shake or anything. But if you are going to be hitting up the track often, you might find value in it. But for the street, I don't think it's a "must".........well, not over a fresh set of tires anyway.
