Best time to shift on a cbr 600rr?

just wondering when's the best time to shift at what rpm for casual riding?

There really is no "best time" other than what suits your style. The owner's manual has a suggested shifting chart but these engines were made to scream so anything short of red line is not going to hurt them....

Thanks

sounds good thanks! It's just so loud at 8000 rpm with this adtermarket exhaust it makes me feel like I should shift then lol

I agree and, yeah, it does take some getting used to! When I switched out the stock can for a shorty pipe and then started it up in the garage, it scared me a little. LOL

P.S. Make sure you wear earplugs!

Just bopping around town, I shift at 4 or 5K. Accelerating at a highway on-ramp, well, that's a different story.
