got my battery off ebay for $39, not had one problem with it. I also got a battery tender jr for the winter months.

BTW the place was based out of Florida since ya have a dislike of cali lol

i'm through and through californian, love it here!

nextyearcub-- when i was having battery probs i was reading alot of posts and i remember coming across something that said the battery only charges after you reach a certain rpm on the bike, think it was about 5000. the experts around here would probably know better...

Thats not the first time ive heard that. I thinking maybe a battery tender is the way I need to go. Even if it is the battery that needs replaced, its still a good investment

true. do you have autozone's in tx? 'cause you can take it down there and they'll check for free how many volts/amps (not sure) are left. a new battery i think has about 14. when i returned from overseas my bike wasn't touched for 1.5 years.they checked and it had only had a couple amps. they tried trickle charging (with their charger, i came back a couple hrs later)and it wasn't getting better so i knew it had to replaced.
