i'm through and through californian, love it here!
nextyearcub-- when i was having battery probs i was reading alot of posts and i remember coming across something that said the battery only charges after you reach a certain rpm on the bike, think it was about 5000. the experts around here would probably know better...

true. do you have autozone's in tx? 'cause you can take it down there and they'll check for free how many volts/amps (not sure) are left. a new battery i think has about 14. when i returned from overseas my bike wasn't touched for 1.5 years.they checked and it had only had a couple amps. they tried trickle charging (with their charger, i came back a couple hrs later)and it wasn't getting better so i knew it had to replaced.
