Default Bazzaz versus Power Commander

I have the 05 rr and getting ready to go track so i need some tuning help. know i can use the PCV on my bike that only controls 4 injectors(? the top ones). The bazzaz controls all 8 and has alot more piggy backs. I need my bike tuned for my two brothers exhaust, k&n filter, gonna get a 520 conversion, and overall tune and dyno. Leaning heavy on the bazzaz but would like some more first person experience. Who can tell me what differences they've gotten on the track and street and which is preferred? Thanks for the recommendations.

For the mods you have, you don't really need the bazzaz or pcv. Slip-on's don't need to be tuned. Either unit performs really well depending on who tuned it.

you lose power when you add a slip on because the bike is tuned properly so i do need the bazzaz or PC to obtain proper gas and air flow through the engine and out the exhaust. Plus the bazzaz offers a quick shifter i plan on adding and traction control which i am considering

I have the Bazzaz on my 1000RR. I bought it over the PCV because it controls all 8 injectors, like you mentioned. The only thing I do not like about it is if you want to add a quick shift or traction control you have to purchase a whole new Bazzaz - you cannot add individual modules to the base unit.

Someone explain more of this 4 vs 8 thing.

Not to thread hijack
But

Soon I plan on buying a full yoshimura system, filter and was leaning towards a PC5.

Whats this about 4 vs 8 injectors though?

thanks alot for the insight roadijeff.

cbr's have a total of eight injectors. tops (primary) and bottoms (secondaries). They control air and gas flow. As you can imagine...having control over more injectors means more power output, or at least more tuning potential

By tuning through all 8 injectors it takes less extreme changes in the map to make the needed fuel correction. Which in turn makes it easier to tune; it doesn't take as many runs to get the AFR where you want it. This can save you a little cash if you are paying by the hour for dyno tuning. Though I would recommend buying the Auto Fuel Mapper that Bazzaz sells since that allows you to continue to map your bike yourself instead of having to take it back to the dyno guy every time you change something on your bike.
