Anyone 5'11 on a 04 RR - Need input
I am 5'11 and ride a 04 600rr. I wanted to see if anyone has experienced difficulty with riding this model due to your height. I tend to sit up against the tank and I feel as though my wrists are hurting because of it and the center of gravity seems off since my weight is more forward. However when I try to sit back more I find it awkward for my legs.
Any ideas?????

I know Im short but 2 of my buddies are 6 foot+ ridin 600rrs and they seem to be comfortable. I always thought being a little taller would make the ride better bc you could sit more straight up and eleviate some of the pressure on your hands. I completely agree with sitting more back on the seat being weird for your legs. If my hands/wrists start hurting after a while I just ride wth one hand and try and sit up straight. Of course with low traffic or backroad.

Try picking up some adjustable rear sets, that may help you with sitting back and making your legs not feel awkward. I am six foot with a 32 inch inseam and I ride a 07. I am a little cramped sometimes because my legs are long when sitting back, but when im forward its perfectly comfortable. The rear seat cowl with the adjustable backstop helps quite a bit too in thee back support department.
The other option is if you feel that you are stretching, pick up some adjustable clip ons and move you bars up so that you can sit more upright and be comfortable.

i had the same problem of my f4i hurting my wrist. i was given by the people of these forums the idea of sqeezing with your legs. for me i had to think about it for a little holding my self up with out arms but it eventuly became second nature and a lot more comfortable. after a while pushing on your palms will make your pinky finger and the one next to it go numb for hours.

6'1"
i did 1400km in one day on mine and tried LOTS of positions. (i even tried sitting on the pillion seat, it didn't go so well)
sitting right forward and hugging the tank with your thighs (aside from ball pain when you hit a bump, which you don't have to worry about) can be good to get weight off your wrists when cruising or at low speed, but ultimately the bikes balanced for you to sit back, and have the wind take some weight off your wrists.... just the law doesn't agree with the speed you need.
I'd say swap it up depending what your doing, no way i can sit back and lean forward when in crappy traffic.
nearly three months later and my pinky finger on my right hand is still not right, i think i did some nerve damage or RSI from holding the throttle for so long.
wound up doing 8000km in 3 weeks. (5000 miles)
