Default Alarm Systems: What to get?

I've been putting this off for too long now and finally decided I need to get one. Im moving to Jacksonville in 2 weeks and have seen at least 2 or 3 posts in the past 6 months of people having their bikes jacked there.

I have no clue about any alarm systems. What is out there and what are you guys using?

Scorpion is widely used but a bit expensive. Check out the sponsor on the site with the paging alarm system, its basically the same thing for less and has gotten good reviews.

where did you fit the alarm i tried fitting in the tail section
1 i couldn't get it off too scared
2 it's the size of a packet of smoke with a small hump for the siren which wouldn't fit anyways
3 i thought maybe in the tool box probably a bad idea

where is there enough space

I recently purchased Lo-Jack for my bike from my dealer. There is 5 diffrent stages. My stage 5 for example has 5 sensors hidden through out the bike. And it also features the capability for me to turn my key to the lock position and actually remove the whole cylinder from the bike. The purpose of the sensors is, if my bike gets jacked I call the police and tell them i have Lo-Jack and then they track it by gps, and unlimately recover the bike. But also my train of thought is this is the main reasoni pay my insurance, in case it gets stolen.

Yes it works if they disconnect the battery. The system is always active. If they disconnect the battery it will automaticlly go into "distress"
