That's the one thing I love about New Mexico. There is really no enforcement or inspections (for now) on aftermarket things on cars and bikes. On some cars, they REALLY need to, but I've talked to a lot of riders and none of them have ever been hassled by a cop for their exhausts other than noise. (But they were retards running straight pipes....loud as freaking hell). I do think that we have some of the coolest cops around though. They focus on more important things like gang activity, drugs, DWI's, etc etc. They've really been focusing a lot on DWI around here lately, WHICH I'M ALL FOR - THROW THOSE DWI BASTARDS IN JAIL! Sorry if I offended any........wait....no I'm not.

 

THEY ARE STREET LEGAL!

They have the street legal version (the one I heard) online. The website is a little strange to navigate though. When you click the link below, click Honda, then look for where it says CBR600RR. Under the "Street Legal" column, none of the icons are clickable, but when you go to the "Open" column, you can click them.......So click the icon WITHOUT the SP next to it and it'll take you to the specifications page for the street legal slip-on.

Under "Additional Data" near the bottom of the table, it reads "Street legal: Yes".

I checked out the Akrapovic site and what not... I would hope that exhaust sounds really good bc IMO its just ugly lookin. **shrug** Guess thats only a small part in choosing which exhaust to go with.


And does this only include full exhaust systems or slip ons too? I live in NC and inspections are such a b**** here.... its rediculous.

 

I ordered an akrapovich carbon slip on for my rr4 just a couple of days ago, and its completely street legal here in the uk.

Cant wait to hear it - had an akrapovich on a 2002 cbr600 sport a couple years back, and it was magic.

My friend has an MV 750, and the sound coming from those four pipes makes my bike sound like a gutless 125!

 

Stockrocket, are you asking about the twobros? I do not believe they have FS (full systems) I don't see any listing for them on their site.

Wished they did, but I don't see so if anyone can correct me... please do. It'd be nice to have the option of adding the header as a second mod.

Do it in stages so some of us poor guys that don't want to or cannot afford $1000+ for a FS.

 

akra is the bomb...

why would anyon need rearsets before the pipe and PC3 on an RR? why would anyone who is not racing need rearsets on an RR...which comes with rearsets in racing positions already? oh yes, for the bling factor...

 

I think The sato racing rear sets are sweet!!! figure if I want to take full advantage of the exhaust I might was well get a PC3. Well gonna wait till next summer to get all that sorted but for the mean time rear sets. its all bling baby.

 

OH CRAP...you didn't say SATOs...SATOs and Moriwakis....those are 2 that i would buy JUST for the bling factor ALONE!!!!!!!!! EVEN IF THEY DON'T FIT THE BIKE I'D CARRY IT AROUND MAH NECK!

but i would say...get them after the can and PC3...why? because no one is going to look at the bike as you ride by if they can't hear it!!!!!!!!
