What's up, just wanted to ask if anyone has experience with Akrapovic Slip-ons?

I saw another 600RR with a Akrapovic Carbon Fiber Slip-on a few hours ago, and the guy started it up. OMFG! Extremely deep, throaty sound. Very mellow unless you really got on it, then it sounded like a straight up race bike. (deep, throaty race bike that is. lol.). I fell in LOVE with it's sound. I'm thinking I just might max out the ol' credit card to get me one of these. lol.

Anyway, just wanted to get some feedback on these systems. (pros, cons, troubles?)

I am thinking about one of those for next summer.

But first up is braided hose followed by rear sets and the akrapovic with a power command.

The hexversion right? suppose to be road legal too (UK).

 

as far as I know... all after market pipes fall short in the legal department

 

I just looked at Akrapovic web site and they do list a legal one... coming soon so the one you've heard isn't street legal.

 

in the Uk Akrapovic offers 2 versions of their pipes road and race. I assume its just baffles in the pipe. check it out.

its fairly new pipe the hex one. looks like a yoshi RS-5. Was parking my bike up one day and some dude with a black 600RR think its an 04 had a yoshi rs-5 pipe sweet. but it aint road legal. i wish yoshi made an RS-5 thats road legal

Its a common thing over here in England. Loud pipes, mini number plates and tinted visors.

I use a tinted visor but I always carry a clear one.
