Aftermarket fairings
OKI would like to get some feedback on this product.I just ordered some Cheetah Racing Bodies - Street side fairings for my 2007 CBR600RR. i like them because 1) There lighter and 2)It combine the lower and mid fairing to one solid part. I am doing alot to my bike this winter and this is just one of the mods. Heres a pic of on side that come primed ready for the paint shop

RE: Aftermarket fairings
Cool, are you going to use them as track plastics, or are you going to take it to the street?
For street use, you're going to have to figure out a way to mount turn signals to the bike. other than that, I think they'l look good once you get them painted/ installed.

RE: Aftermarket fairings
i sold the track cheetahs when i regulated the 1000rr to street only. i would have gotten cheetahs for my 600RR track bike but they are twice the price for the 600s as they are the 1000s.
cheetah makes street plastic though so you wouldnt have a problem mounting lights

RE: Aftermarket fairings
After looking at just about every aftermarket fairing producer out there, I would pick Oppracing. Their stuff appears the best quality with reinforced holes and true rolled edges, including the ones on the top fairing.
Also, I would NOT mix OEM and aftermarket, because the holes and tabs do not always line up or even show up at the same area, especially the top to side fairing break. Go all the way for easy to fit and repair fiberglass. Save the OEM plastics for resale, eventually.
My $.02 worth.

RE: Aftermarket fairings
opp is ok but there stuff is very expensive plus i have heard negative things about their customer service. no personal experience but i have tried 3 different types of aftermarket fairings cheetah, hotbodies, and e racing
the cheetahs fit the best
if you really want good fitting aftermarket street plastic, look up the auctsmart fairings.
fully painted and like 700 shipped for everything. the only real negative thing about them is that you have to use a lot of heat wrap on the lowers.
