600rr tank metal or plastic?

Default 600rr tank metal or plastic?
Looking at ebay listings, I keep seeing the tank itself and then a cover for the tank. I guess the cover is fiberglass, but what is the tank itself made of?

Not 100% sure on the F4, my RR is a steel tank with a plastic cover.

The tank itself is metal with a plastic cover.

The F4/F4i tank is all metal.

Kind of nice if you ever wanted to get an aftermarket fairing kit. easier than having to paint the tank
