A turbo charged cbr600rr set the world speed record for the 600cc/650cc class 201.216mph.

Only 201 mph? Don't get me wrong, that's fast, but I would think that a purpose-built RR like that could push the envelope a little further.

Needless to say, it's good that the 600RR was the one to do it.

 

Aerodynamcis are a big limiter but I'd figure a turbo'd 6RR would go alot faster than 201. But i guess a 70 degree day a mile above sea level doesn't help either. CBR RACIN123 good find.

Old news...it was pretty funny...he joined another forum I run andsome membersgave him **** for wanting to add a turbo on the RR...they thought he was a squid and shortly after he set the 186 mph record...he later came back to inform us about his 200 mph endeavor! Nice guy and he really woke some members to think before you flame
