Hopefully this question hasnt been answered before but ill ask anyway. I currently have a 2001 F4i but im getting rid of it for a new bike. What are the big differences between the rr and f4i, other than the looks, exhaust, riding position, etc. Is there a difference between the engines and power? Would it be worth buying another 600 because it would be cheaper, or should i upgrade to something bigger like the 954 or 1000rr and spend some more money? Thanks for the input

 

I believe the other differences are slightly bigger front rotors on the RR, the swingarm is a little different, and it's the same engine, but I think the heads are different. The RR has a second set of injectors I think too. The rake might also be a little different. If it were me, I'd go with another 600 simply because unless you're racing on the track, you won't fully utilize the potential of the 1000 RR. Just my opinion.

 

imo.....go ride a new 600RR and see...you are experienced...love mine, but you might WANT a 1000RR...very few of us can out ride our 600s

so again, just go ride...let us know what you get

 

I will go take some test rides as soon as the weather permits. Its 15 degrees and we are due to get about 6 inches of snow here tomorrow in MA. Anybody else with some input??
