525 Stock, Right?!?!?

am I going crazy or don't we have 525 chains stock?

I just went down to the dealer to pick up a new master link and they gave me a did 525 link...it is WAY shorter and won't work

they are telling me should be the same and that I probably have a 530 chain...that his buddy has an R6 and he has a 530 stock
