2016 600rr vs 2017 R6

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and maybe you guys can give me some input. I'm looking for a new bike and I've always been a Honda guy and the new 600rr looks absolutely beautiful but does anyone know how its riding dynamics compares to the new R6? Not in terms of which is faster, but handling, power delivery, and all around usability. I live in San Francisco and I need a bike that still has sufficient power when I want to go for long rides but also easy enough around the tight city streets. I know both these bikes are great and the best way to know which one I want is to go for a test ride. But maybe you guys can give me a little detail on the character on each bike before I ride them. I know for sure the honda will be easier to throw around based on my experience with most honda bikes.

I have a 2000 Blackbird in the Philippines that my Dad gave me, and I love that bike and so tempted to get another one here but I want something a lot newer and lighter too.

I don't have any info for you on the comparison, but where about in the Philippines? I lived there for 3 years.

They’re both great supersports bikes, The View in the press seems to be that the R6 is more track biased and a bit frenetic if you’re only going to use it on the road. The 600RR is not quite such an exciting package but more comfortable as an everyday bike.

I lived in Makati. I'd ride with my Dad and brother to Subic, Baguio, and a few other cool places. How about you, where'd you stay over there?

Thanks, I'll test ride both and see where I end up. I saw the 2017 Matte Black 1000rr and it's pretty, might just go all the way and get that.

I had an apartment in Parañaque near SM Bicutan for a year and then I lived in Dasmariñas Village across from Glorietta and SM Makati. I absolutely loved it over there, I would go back in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself.
