2010 600 RR Exhaust Question/dilemma

Hey folks, I'm hoping some of you may be able to assist in my dilemma.

Every site I go to does not list a 2010 600RR Exhaust.
The local Honda dealer who sold me the bike tells me that the 08,09,10 all share the same part number for the stock exhaust. That tells me that I can order an exhaust for the 09 and it will fit. Can anyone shed some light and help me fell better about my decision to order a 09 exhaust?

The Dilemma,

Before I purchased the bike, I ordered a akrapovic titanium slip on and connector pipe from dennis kirk for the 09 cbr 600. My mechanic tells me that he's afraid to put the pipe, and PC V, on and dyno it because there is something in the catalytic converter (sensor) that would prevent something. Being he's Japanese with decent english skills, I'm not quire sure what he's talking about. Can someone let me know what the sensor does, and/or what would it prevent such as mapping, performance, etc.

I have found the akrapovic full exhaust system for $2400-ish, and I also found the yoshimura RS-5 full system for $705.00. That's a big difference making me lean towards the Yoshimura.

Thanks in advance for any info you all can provide. If I go with the Yoshimura, I will have a brand new, akrapovic Ti slip on for sale.

+1. why can't you put it on yourself? it's a few clamps..

Thanks for the replies.

I went and picked up the pipe yesterday and went to a friends garage and installed the slip on. so the question above, will '09 exhaust fit on '10 model.. the answer is yes.

Only problem with the whole install is that the clamp bolt from akrapovic is a M6x30mm and its just a tad to short. I went to hardware store and bought a M6x35mm and it worked just fine.

I love the pipe and the sound coming from it. Started the bike this morning to warm it up, and the GF (still in bed) called my cell and said it's to loud! I love it!

I will pick up the PC5, and probably install that this weekend. This would be my first install of PC, but it should not be a problem. I just have to research the map settings, how to's etc. Thanks for the above advise.

Cheers!
