Default 2009 CBR600RR Opinions

2009 CBR600RR

Just saw one in person for the first time at a dealership. They had black, green/black, and red/black butI didn't see the Phoenix or the White/Blue/Red. The colors I did see were very clean. The turn signals, both front and back are a little smaller than the ones on the '08 model which is good.

My biggest issue is the new fairings they've put on it. The bikes looks like pure plastic now with both sides of the motor completely covered by fairings. Is Honda trying to save money by way of not having to dress the engine/clutchcase up since it won't be exposed? Is there some kind of heat shield under thefairing? What do you guys think? And has anyone rode one yet?

Yes! Why the hell wouldn't they put the integrated mirrors on the '09?? The 1000RR mirrors are bigger too, allowing for more rear-view visibility. I could take the Phoenix (White) one too, but I also liked the Green/Black combo in person. The plain black just didn't do it for me like the '08 Graffiti did.

I saw one today at the dealership and I thought it was pretty nice looking. I really like what they did with the turn signals. They look lot better than the old models. I was really suprised when i sat on it and swung it between my legs that is was so light. I couldn't get over it. My 05 600rr is like a bolder compared to the 09 600.

Guess were talking even less weight than the 07's?, maybe we'll be able to just pick it up and move it around the garage one day

I didn't notice that much of a weight difference, if any, compared to my '08. It could just be thatthe'09 is probably sitting on the showroom floor with a near-empty tank. It felt about the same height as the '08 too.
