all right, awesome tacoma and skitzo, i really appreciate the info. i'll do that tommorow night once i get back to so cal...to add though when it comes on at random it just stays on it doesnt blink, i kill the bike restart it and its gone..so this relay your talking about. on my bike on the clutch side there is a harness that is probably 6 inches or so in the tail section, this is where all the rear lighting comes in and then there is a rubber protector that slips over the 3 sets of wires that come in. then this goes under the rider seat, to where all the elecrical crap is. so im confused on what it is specificly that your telliing me to jump.. and again i appreciate the help fellas, the knowldge that some of you guys have is awesome.

 

I believe the connector has a red cap on it. The connector is taped to the harness you described that leads to the rear lighting. Look on the back side of the connector, and you will see 4 wires. The only wires you are concerned with are the brown and green. Remove the cap and use a paperclip or something conductive and then jump the two pins togther and then turn the ignition on.

You can just put the kick stand down with the key on and the bike will blink the error code to you.
